Pournami Pottekat
Product Designer
Currently leading design @Kahana building ergonomic browser at the intersection of AI and voice interactions. Previously simplified complex workflows for freight brokers @Highway.
I also volunteer @Knowbility where I'm revamping their current website to promote digital accessibility and improve their AccessU conference sign ups.
Outside of work, you'll find me
curating inspiration and writings across Curius, Are.na, and Chrome bookmarks (it's a big mess but i'm working on it)
creating cute stickers in Procreate
learning web animations from the one and only Emil Kowalski
reading design substacks (some of my favs are Verified Insider by Tom Scott, and Good Graff! by Carly)
listening to the Dive Club podcast
fixing tiny ux problems for my favorite tools, here's my latest fix for Notion AI Blocks.
What's next for me?
Being an engineer turned product designer, I understand what it's like designing for engineering constraints and am looking for technical product design roles. I thrive in spaces where I can solve complex problems, relentlessly iterate (with a little help from AI) and build a good design culture for teams.
Life came full circle for me when tools like Cursor, Claude Code and Google AI studio launched. Now I often see myself tinkering and shipping fun experiments in code that reflect my taste in design, take a look here.
If you're looking to hire me, here's a small list of industries I've previously made impact in — B2B SaaS tools, enterprise browser workspace, AI automations, ed tech, productivity tools, ambient intelligence, freight tech, compliance, digital forensic tools, and non-profits.
You can reach me on X, LinkedIn or via email, I love meeting new people and I'm always on the look for new teams to build with!
